Not to give anyone the idea that watching
Corporate Tv is anything but a bad idea.

A big win for Dixie Chicks for their anti-war/anti-George Bush song “ Not ready to make nice “ that swept the Grammy awards

VIDEO
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Congrats to the "Chicks " for the sweep at the Grammy's !
Not Ready to make nice- get the message Neocons ? Remember, it was just a few short years ago, in 2003, that the Dixie Chicks told a London audience that, “Just so you know, we’re ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas.”
What followed: Death threats. Boycotts. A public attack from country singer Toby Keith. Canceled concerts. They never backed down.
The recent winners of the Grammys by
Dallas' based Dixie Chicks, has inspired
me to look and seek out performers and
singers that are actively protesting Bush
and his wars and New World Order. ~ Hell in there
There are way too few truly great liberal
writers. One was Molly Ivins. Her funeral
was Sunday in Austin. We were going to go,
but did not. The funeral and afterward
at a favorite bar sounded like a great
sendoff  to a great lady. Music by Marcia Ball.
Friends say goodbye to irreverent columnist
The memorial for columnist Molly Ivins is more celebration than somber funeral.
 Read Pail Krugmans column: Missing Molly Ivins
The Texas columnist’s satire was only the means to an end: holding the powerful accountable.
Missing Molly Ivins
By PAUL KRUGMAN
Molly Ivins, the Texas columnist, died of breast cancer on Wednesday. I first met her more than three years ago, when our book tours crossed. She was, as she wrote, “a card-carrying member of The Great Liberal Backlash of 2003, one of the half-dozen or so writers now schlepping around the country promoting books that do not speak kindly of Our Leader’s record.”
Quotes and quips from Molly Ivins
from her last column, January 11, 2007: We are the people who run this country. We are the deciders. And every single day, every single one of us needs to step outside and take some action to help stop this war. Raise hell. Think of something to make the ridiculous look ridiculous. Make our troops know we're for them and trying to get them out of there.
